A-Z of fundraising
You want to raise some money for Open Door but you're not really sure where to start. Here's our A to Z list of fundraising to get you started. Whether you're a first time fundraiser, or a life long supporter.
Abseil- Reach the sunny heights, all in the name of Open Door.
Beard shave- I’m sure you love the fuzzy facial hair, but is it time for a trim? I’m sure you’ll manage some sponsors to brave the beard shave.
Coffee morning- Who doesn’t love a coffee? Getting donations for something everyone wants is easy! Why not tie it in with a Bake sale, coffee and cake want more could you want.
Dinner, disco, diving, dog walking, darts match…the list goes on. Why not hold a themed Dinner dance? Charge an entrance fee, pick a theme, cook some food, and throw some shapes on the dance floor.
Easter egg hunt- Need we say more? Put your bunny ears on and you’ll be ready.
Fancy dress day- Why not get your school class to dress up for the day and charge a fee, or get the office to dress up as their favourite movie characters, OR why not sponsor a work colleague and let the office decide what they wear?!
Golf day- Why not hold a golf tournament, with all proceeds to Open Door? Any budding musicians? Hold a Gig, or ask to collect at any gigs you know of. *
Hot air Balloon ride- Get sponsored to take a hot air balloon ride, go Hiking, trek the Great Wall of China, get your Head shaved.
Inter-House Tournament- Compete with your classmates, which class can raise the most money for Open Door by offering services and selling products. Perhaps a lemonade stand, or you could offer to clean cars.
Karaoke- Hold a Karaoke night.
London Marathon, get fit, train and run the London Marathon on behalf of Open Door. What an achievement!
Muddy races- Join one of the fun filled muddy races, be prepared to get muddy!
Nearly New sale. Need a declutter? What could be a better way to free up some space, and raise funds for Open Door at the same time.
Odd clothes day, mix and match at school or work. Clash for cash!
Press up challenge, challenge a friend or colleague to beat you at the press up challenge- set a goal, who can get there first?! If press ups aren't your thing how about holding a pancake race!
Quiz night- Always popular, be at school, work or pub.
Raffle, organise a raffle, so don't be afraid to ask for raffle prizes, it's for a good cause!
Sleepout! Our annual fundraiser. Brave the cold and sleep out for the night.
Triathlon- ready to get training, what better way to get motivated -knowing you're raising funds for a great cause.
University Challenge. Get your uni mates together and set a challenge.
Variety show- Get a group of talented individuals together and voila!
Walk, Waxing or even a World record attempt.
Xmas party, or even a xmas craft fair- Get Creative.
Yearly collection, have a yearly collection, simple but effective. *
Zumbathon! Get your local class together, and go for it!
